시애틀의 아마존 본사입니다.

온라인 소매업체인 아마존은 직원들을 위한 새로운 공간을 만들기 위해 시애틀 본사에 열대우림 같은 사무실을 디자인했습니다. 이른바 구는 세 개의 서로 연결된 유리 돔으로 구성됩니다. NBBJ 건축사무소가 설계한 이 건물은 2018년 개관하였습니다. 그 건물은 일반 사무실과 달리 온실을 닮았습니다. 3개의 유리구들은 620톤의 강철로 만들어졌습니다. 이 구조는 400종의 식물과 약 40,000종의 식물을 수용하는 개방형 평면 실내 구역으로 구성되어 있습니다. 직원들은 폐쇄된 회의실이나 테이블 대신 의자와 통로를 통해 '나무집'이라고 불리는 임시 회의실로 갑니다. 이 흥미로운 구들은 일년 내내 대중에게 공개됩니다.

Amazon, an online retailer, has designed rainforest-like offices in Seattle headquarters to create a new space for its employees. The so-called spheres consist of three interconnected glass domes. The building, which was designed by the NBBJ architecture office, was opened for use in 2018. The building resembles a greenhouse, unlike a typical office. Three glass spheres are built of 620 tons of steel. The structure consists of an open plan indoor area that hosts 400 plant species and around 40,000 plants. Instead of closed conference rooms or tables, employees go to extraordinary meeting rooms called ‘tree houses’ via their chairs and walkways. These interesting spheres are open to the public throughout the year.
